The manga by Chako Abeno and Gakuto Mikumo Dantalian no Shoka will be ending in the September issue of Shounen Ace. The magazine’s issue, although oddly but common for the Japanese editions, will be released later in July.
The series has begun in 2010 and since then has sprung 4 volumes. The last 5th volume will come out on August 26, 2012. The original novels, which were published between 2008 and 2011, have sprung a few manga adaptations, which on the other hand had given life to a 12-episode-long anime and a side story (Dantalian no Shoka: Ibarahime OVA).
Dantalian no Shoka (translated as The Mystic Archives of Dantalian) is the story of the young Hugh Anthony Disward, who inherits a mansion with a huge library and a girl. Dalian, a Dantalian and a bridge to the Dantalians’ Bookshelves is a permanent resident to the inherited mansion. The young master and the superhuman Dalian share adventures and missions as they try to solve the meaning behind the Gensho (Illusory Books)’s ability to enter the Dantalian’s shelve of balance.
