Nerawareta Gakuen (usually translated as The Aimed School) is a science-fiction novel by Taku Mayumura aimed at the younger audience. The anime movie adaptation will be produced and developed by Sunrise Studio 8 that has previously worked on My-HiME and Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere.
The project will be directed by Ryosuke Nakamura (Mouryou no Hako and Aoi Bungaku Series).
This will be yet another adaptation of Mayumura’s creations. Although famous for the Neo-Tokyo story, Nerawareta Gakuen itself has already had a live-action tv adaptation as well as two live-action movies (1981 and 1997).
The story revolves around the newly elected president of the student council at the Abeno 6th Middle School Michiru Takamizawa and the protagonist – Kouji Seki who together with Kazumi Kasumoto rise against the crude measures that Michiru takes in order to control the school.
