Prince of Tennis and Loups-Garous’ Production Studio Filed for Bankruptcy

Production studio Trans Arts has filed for bankruptcy. It originally worked on Prince of Tennis‘ (Tennis no Oujisama) first series, Tennis no Oujisama: Atobe Kara no Okurimono movie, Loups-Garous, Chocolate Underground, Kemono no Souja Erin and a lot more anime projects.

The information was released by the official website of Japan’s Kanpou newspaper.

Although it has been alive for more than 40 years, since1967, and with the same director (founder Mamoru Kuroki), the studio has been struggling recently. Its biggest project, Prince of Tennis (Tennis no Oujisama) was given up in a way since Production I.G. and M.S.C. both produced the next installments in the franchise.

An example of artists trying to do business. Regrettably, this is often the outcome. Wish good luck to all artists who are signed with the studio.

Hope someone will buy it out and keep the name.

WOW…so sad. I hate it when anime and manga studios go bankrupt…

So it’s pretty clear they are actually NOT the studio that’s getting the money from ‘Prince of Tennis’. That’s a relief.
