Absolute Boyfriend Manga Gets Stage Play Adaptation

Zettai Kareshi also known as Absolute Boyfriend manga by Yuu Watase will be getting a stage play adaptation next year. The finalisation of the project is planned for March 2013, but a lot of details remain hidden and unknown. For what is worth, we do know that this romantic shoujo story is definitely successful already having a drama-series adaptation in 2008 as well as a TV special in 2009. Taiwan and Korea also had a go with TV versions of the manga.

Amipro production company, which is already experienced in Watase-sensei having worked on Fushigi Yuugi, will be handling the creation of the new stage play project. Asuka Ami will produce wile directing will be placed in the hands of Shintaro Kanno.

The premiere of the Absolute Boyfriend stage play is planned for the 2013 Theatre1010 (Tokyo) iin March.
