Can there be something cuter and more charming than a little black witch? No? What about a little black witch with a staff and a lot of friends! The enchanting story that is being told by Hiroshi Ishizaki (author of Chain Mail:Addicted to You) in the Kuromajyo-san ga Toru!! (Here Comes the Black Witch!!) children’s novel series.
In the original work, the protagonist is a young black witch who enjoys a lot of adventures and silly situations. Chiyoko “Choco” Kurotori is a fifth-grader who is currently being an apprentice to one of the most prominent and serious instructors possible – Gubid. The teacher is trying to make her the best black witch there has ever been, but is it possible with an attitude such as the one she presents? It is definitely going to be a hard job for Gubid, but also for her, because the instructor is not the easy-going type at all. After all, you can’t become a dark wizard or witch of such level by being lazy and apathetic.
Chiyoko “Choco” Kurotori is going to be played by Fumiko Orikasa (Bleach’s Rukia Kuchiki, Code Geass’ Shirley Fenette)
Gubid is going to be played by Romi Park (Bleach’s Toshirou Hitsugaya, Fullmetal Alchemist’s Edward Elric)
The anime is directed by Happy Happy Clover’s Tetsuo Yasumi, while Masae Ootake (Doraemon) is handling the character design and is chief of animation. Kimiko Ueno (Gokyoudai Monogatari) is the screenwriter of the project.
The show is stated for April 4,2012.
