VI Annual Seiyuu Awards: And the Winners Are…

Some of the winning names in this year’s Annual Seiyuu Awards have been announced on the official website of the event. Keiko Toda, Ikuea Ohtani and Inazuma 11 are just some of the winners.

SPECIAL MERIT AWARD

Award for late performers who contributed to many genres, especially foreign works, over the years

 

Osamu Kobayashi (1934-2011)

Agency: Doujinsha Production

Roles: Yul Brynner, Michael Caine, Jon Voight, Harry Potter’s Alastor Moody, Mission: Impossible’s Willy Armitage

Junpei Takiguchi (1931-2011)

Agency: Freelance

Roles: Clifton James, Yatterman’s Dokurobee, Burari Tochuu Gesha no Tabi’s narration

 

Takeshi Watabe (1931-2011)

The next set of winners will be announced on March 2. The remainder of the award winners will be announced during a ceremony on March 3.

Hmmm…is this for some established professionals only? Since most of their voicing is in the 80’s and 60’s…
