Japan Academy Prize Nominations Revealed?

A beta site of the Japan Academy Awards has been launched online. The website lists the nominations in all categories for the upcoming ceremony, although an official statement hasn’t been released yet. Some differences are possible when the final announcement is made, but this is definitely a very important news!

And the nominated for best animation are:

K-ON!, From up on Poppy Hill, Tezuka Osamu no Buddha ~Akai Sabaku yo! Utsukushiku~ (Buddha: the Great Departure),Toufu Kozou, Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence

More manga or anime-related nominations include:

Moteki‘s live-action adaptation for Best Actress (Masami Nagasawa), Best Supporting Actress (Kumiko Asou), Best Music (Taiseki Iwasaki), Best Editing (Yuusuke Ishida)

Gaku for Best Photography (Osamu Fujiishi) and Lighting (Takayuki Kawabe)

Ashita no Joe for Best Supporting Actor (Yusuke Iseya)

    I actually don’t know much titles with Masami Nagasawa-san…She probably got it for Poppy Hill…
