On the other hand, Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito (Akito the Exiled) has been announced (it was about time!). The anime film will come out early this summer and will be shown in 10 theatres across Japan. The main character Akito will be played by Miyu Irino (who among other notable roles has played Spirited Away’s Haku) while Reira Marukaru will be played by Maaya Sakamoto (Kuroshitsuji’s Ciel Phantomhive and Haruhi Fujioka in Ouran High School Host Club).
No, wait, don’t skip reaind – there is more: Maaya Sakamoto will also be playing the part of a performer! Yes, you heard me right, after being the singer behind CLAMP’s CLAMP in Wonderland and some other very remarkable works such as Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and Wolf’s Rain, the Japanese lady will also be doing the job for the Boukoku no Akito theme song. Yuho Iwasato will be writing the lyrics for the piece while Yoko Kanno will compose the music. Actually, it is the same unit that worked on Sakamoto’s debut project too.
Is this great news or not-so-great? What do you think? Comment below.

More than another project that has been announced – Nunnally’s dream or something, where Lelouch is using his Geass to make Nunnally happy with her favourite story of Alice in Wonderland. >.>
