Naruto Shippuuden Sixth Movie Set for Next Summer

The sixth movie for the Naruto Shippuuden anime (ninth Naruto movie overall) has finally been announced! The exact date is still unmentioned, but the date will be somewhere around Summer 2012. The news was posted in this edition of Weekly Shounen Jump by Shueisha (the original publisher of Masashi Kishimoto’s manga Naruto).

There have been three movies of the Naruto reality – Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow (August 21, 2004), Legend of the Stone of Gelel (August 6, 2005), Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom (August 5, 2006).

For now, five more have been created within the Shippuuden reality – Naruto Shippuden: the Movie (Auust 4, 2007), Naruto Shippuden The Movie: Bonds (August 2, 2008), Naruto Shippuuden: Hi no Ishi o Tsugumono (August , 2009), Naruto Shippuden: The Lost Tower (July 31, 2010) and Naruto Shippuuden: Blood Prison (July 30, 2011).

According to the list, we should be expecting the sixth movie to be released in Japan around the second half of July (since the publisher has said ‘summer’).
