Dear fans of iDOLM@STER, are you ready for another series that include music and supernatural action? If so, I will suggest “Senhime Zesshou Symphogear” that will air in January 2012. Shinigami-sama lead you through the basics long ago, so let’s see how can I add up to the preview…
As you know, producers are Satelight and Encourage Films. Noriyasu Agematsu teamed-up with Akifumi Kaneko to create the original character design, while Kaneko-san’s also the director, composer and script author for the series. The story’s mainly about two pretty girls (curiously reminding me of Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka…) named Tsubasa and Kanade. They fight the evil “Noise” monsters with the “Symphogear” weapon, used by their vocal unit, called “Twei Wing”.
Nana Mizuki (Colette Brunel in Tales of Symphonia) as Kazanari Tsubasa
Minami Takayama (Conan Edogawa in Detective Conan) as Amou Kanade
Midori Yuki as Hibiki Tachibana
Iguchi Yuka (Index in Toaru Majutsu no Index) as Kohinata Miku
Opening theme song “” by Nana Mizuki
Ending theme song “Meteor Light” by Ayahi Takagaki
Hit? Singers Nana Mizuki and Ayahi Takagaki are already confirmed as performers of the “Senhime Zesshou Symphogear” opening and ending. Besides being singer of the opening, Mizuki-san is voicing the 2 lead characters of the anime together with Minami Takayama-san . Miss Mizuki’s not only the voice behind “Claymore”’s Riful and “Blood C”’s Saya Kisaragi she’s also Misaki Kirihara in “Darker than Black”, Hinata in “Naruto”, Moka Akashiya in “Rosario + Vampire”, need I say more?! As for Miss Takayama, I’ll always mention her being Eris Ferris in “Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu”. She’s also Jasmine in “Deltora Quest”, as well as Kouta Kunieda in “Beelzebub”… What more can you want for a music anime?!
Miss? I can’t think of anything actually. Especially having in mind you can’t expect a really deep plot from an action + music anime. The only problem is that the adaptation comes “from nowhere”. There’s no manga, novel or game, so it’ll be pretty hard for the creators to support the plot’s dynamics.
UPDATE: The official Date of the Premiere Episode is January 6, 2012
