Big Rubber Ducky for Charity in Osaka

A huge inflated rubber ducky (the classic yellow version ; ) ) has been released onto the city of Osaka. The huge (9.5 metres tall) objet d’art has been put there in order to promote the sales of charitable merchandise including small replicas of the big fellow, t-shirts, mugs and more. While the huge baloon-like rubber duckling is available to be seen and photographed in Nakanoshima Park from October 22 to October 30, people would also be able to buy the merchandise from the river’s bank right next to the cuteness. This project is a part of the Aqua Metropolis Osaka 2011 Festival.

Everyone who enjoys this should be thankful for it to Chishima Real Estate and the Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. The charity, of course, is a part of the quake awareness programs across the country.
