Manga Entertainment: Clannad with a UK Release

According to one of the latest twitter messages left by the UK based company Manga Entertainment, the slice-of-life story Clannad will get its very own UK DVD release next year.

The series are directed mainly by Tatsuya Ishihara and the screenwriter is Fumihiko Shimo. It is based on the visual novels by Key (Air, Kanon). It tells the story of a few high-school mates who share their day-to-day lives with us. The original anime TV series was released in October 2007. A couple of months afterward a theatrical release of the same story was premiered. Then, a second series aired entitled Clannad After Story in 2008.

UPDATE: MangaUK does not tell that it has specifically done arrangements fr the licenses and release of the items, but just a personal opinion. However, knowing the company’s position and that the people inside it are related to people who are related to someone who definitely can tell us the truth, I highly doubt the message came without a reason.

Is this great news or not-so-great? What do you think? Comment below.

That’s one of the weirdest anime ever. They’re just hanging around, doing nothing of interest…
