Appleseed XII is a new adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s (Ghost in the Shell) manga by the same name. The original story, published by Kodansha, is a futuristic world with a very big military influence. The manga has already sprung a video anime, two digitally animated movies and this, second movie whose theatrical release in Japan will be on October 24, 2011. Currently, the first three volumes of the video project are on the market.
