Kouji Wada Cancels Shows due to Cancer

Unfortunately, Kouji Wada, the performer behind almost every Digimon theme song including Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, Digimon Frontier, Digimon: Data Squad, and Digimon Xros Wars as well as the Japanese version of  Transformers: Robots in Disguise, has announced that he is cancelling all his concerts and other planned appearances due to a severe illness. The singer, who had gone on hiatus eight years ago because of cancer, has explained that he will take a break from Facebook, Twitter and his official blog as well.  The charismatic Japanese musician has promised that he will take care of his health and will fight through all possible ways. He had also stated that  when he returns he will have “the best of times with the best of friends in concert”.

Cancelled are both his concerts in Chile and Peru as well as his appearance in X’Mas live concert in December, 2011.

We all wish him a recovery and a huge positive blast of energy and strength in the upcoming months so that he will be healthy and return to do what he loves to do and be able to really have fun at concerts!

I am not going to ask if it’s good news. Of course it is not. Just comment if you feel like doing it.
