A Letter to Momo Movie with a Manga Adaptation

A letter to Momo (Momo e no Tegami) is a drama film by Hiroyuki Okiura (directing, script and storyboard) and revolves around a young girl named Momo and a mysterious blank letter left to her by her late father. After Momo loses her parent to an accident, she moves from Tokyo to the countryside to live with her mother. Wondering what that blank page means and trying to get used to both the change in lifestyle, surroundings and the new she faces, Momo falls into a world of her own. Things change even more when she finds a strange antique book in the attic of her mother’s house.

In the November issue of Monthly Asuka by Kadokawa Shoten was announced that a new comic will be created for the popular I.G Production item. The manga project is led by Akiko Kitami who has previously written several items for the publisher and the style is definitely a suiting one for A Letter to Momo (Momo e no Tegami).

Okiura Hiroyuki (Akira, Ghost in the Shell etc., etc.) is a legend, so I’m sure that’s going to be good…
