Modern Magic Made Simple or otherwise known as Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou is the newest purchase of the North American distributor of Japanese anime. This is one of the latest additions to the everlasting list of licensed animated works that come from Japan. Just a few days ago, it was revealed that they have also acquired the rights over Rozen Maiden.
Modern Magic Made Simple is an animated adaptation of the original light novel series by Hiroshi Sakurazaka (All You Need is Kill) going by the same name. The original artwork is by Miki Miyashita (Citron Veil, Maburaho). The story of Modern Magic Made Simple is quite a show – we have a few high schoolers who have various problems from being outcasted because of their high or manners to having a powerful magician chasing and trying to kill them. There is also the savior of the teenagers, whonot by chance, is a very able magician and is ready to take on the hard task to make even the worst witch or magician one of the best.
When it was originally broadcasted in Japan in 2009, the anime TV series were also streamed by Crunchyroll simultaneously. Now, the 12 episode series will be released on the North American market somewhere around the end of December.
