After all these weeks, the waiting will finally get paid out to all the Bleach fans. The anime series is going to catch up on the manga with the beginning of the new cannon arc called “Shinigami Daikou Shoushitsu”. This was announced by Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump, one of the most popular weekly manga magazines around the globe.
According to Shounen Jump, the Bleach TV series will get back on track on October 11, 2011 when the new episode, first of the Shinigami Daikou Shoushitsu arc, will come out in Japan.
These are the new characters and cast members according to Shounen Jump’s announcement:
Hiroki Touchi as Kūgo Ginjō
Daisuke Ono as Tsukishima
Atsushi Ono as Giriko Kutsuzawa
Atsuko Yuya as Jackie Tristan
Megumi Toyoguchi as Riruka Dokugamine
Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Yukio
The anime has been giving a pre-made filler arc since the end of the Arrancar one with Sousuke Aizen’s accusation and imprisonment. Although the manga fans are not very happy with the Bleach Shinigami Daikou Shoushitsu arc, there is definitely no doubt that returning to the original cannon plot will be a good thing for the anime which was slowly starting to lose its position amongst the top 3 of current shounen anime series.

Replay the The Agent of the Shinigami arc, than bring Nnoitra, Ulquiorra, Szayel Aporro Granz and Coyote Starck back. Forever. Kill Ishida and Chad (Sado).
That’s a good start.
What was Bleach again!?
They’re announcing it in Shounen Jump?! Seems like they’ve had it with Nozomi-chan :D
You both are correct, if you ask me. We need to cut out the fillers and start to play serious, but then again, this arc can be a let down (just as Lulubel said)
Great summary and my thoughts exactly. Having in mind that thing converted me onto an Otaku…I’m getting frustrated and melancholic at the same time. Seireitei, what has become of you?!
It was about time!!!
Reading the manga, I’m not sure that’s a good thing…
