Digimon TV Series to Bring Back Original Characters

Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Newtype magazine announced that the new anime series of the Digimon franchise will not bring new and unfamiliar characters in the main roles, but instead will reassemble the old and popular lead ones from the previous installment entitled Digimon Hunters.

The new show will be called Digimon Xros Wars: Toki o Kakeru Shounen Hunter-tachi and will air on October 2, 2011. It will play the role of a second year (3rd season) of the already very popular saga about the Digimon Zros Wars.  The production team of the anime will be the same as last time (Tomoharu Matsuhisa and Hiroyuki Sakurada), only the director will be different – Yukio Kaizawa (Digimon Tamers, Jiigoku Sensei Nube).

Is there something to add?! Really…how many more?!

I’ve grown up with Digimon, so I’m pretty happy they’ll keep the characters.
