New Anime Based in Historical Japan + official trailer

The anime series of UN-GO is expected to come out in Japan on October 13 and is announced to be a mystery story. UN-GO is based on the historical novel by Sakaguchi Ango entitled “Meiji Kaika Ango Torimonocho”, written in the 1950s. It is about a private detective named Yuki Shinjiro who solves various cases. He is aided by Katsu Kaishu, who you no doubt have heard of if you’re into historical Japan.
(For those of you who don’t know him, in short, he was an important political and took a key role in the surrender of Edo. For more information you can always check Wikipedia or around the web – you will find a lot.)

Director: Mizushima Seiji (Fullmetal Alchemist,Mobile Suit Gundam 00)
Script: Aikawa Sho (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Production Studio: Bones (Darker than Black, Ouran High School Host Club, Soul Eater, Sword of the Stranger, Wolf’s Rain… Do I need to continue?!)

Now, back on the new series. The two main characters here are called Inga and Yuuki Shinjiro. The current site is a bit empty, but Shinigami-sama hopes that this will be one of the good historical adaptations the fans of the genre have been craving for a long time.
